Terms of Service
Effective date: 15 July 2026 · EchoForge
EchoCert is built and operated by Charles Tao through EchoForge (“EchoForge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Connecting a Cardano wallet or otherwise using EchoCert means you agree to these Terms.
Use of Service
EchoCert lets you generate certificate images and anchor them as NFTs on the Cardano blockchain. There is no account or password — your identity within EchoCert is the Cardano wallet address you connect and sign with. We do not verify the truthfulness of any certificate content (recipient name, date, issuing organization); entering it accurately and lawfully is your responsibility.
Payments
Certificate minting costs the ADA equivalent of $1.00 USD (subject to a 5 ADA on-chain floor); domain verification costs the ADA equivalent of $50.00 USD per year; creating an organization costs a flat 50 ADA. Every USD price is converted to ADA using the Charli3 oracle, with CoinGecko as a fallback feed, and paid directly to our treasury wallet on Cardano mainnet. We confirm payment by reading the transaction on the Cardano ledger itself — we never handle your card, bank, or wallet keys directly. Once a payment transaction is confirmed on-chain, it is final: we have no mechanism to reverse a confirmed Cardano transaction and do not issue refunds.
Blockchain Transactions
Minting a certificate writes its content permanently and publicly to Cardano mainnet as an NFT with CIP-25 metadata. We cannot edit, hide, or delete this data once it is confirmed — no one can, including us. Domain verification only confirms that the wallet you connected controls the domain name you entered, via a DNS TXT record; it does not verify institutional accreditation, real-world identity, or the truthfulness of any certificate’s content. The in-product Disclaimer panel explains this trust model in full.
Prohibited Use
- — Certificates that are illegal, fraudulent, or impersonate a real institution or person without authorization.
- — Certificate content that infringes another party's intellectual property or other rights.
We may decline service to any wallet address at our discretion. We cannot remove or alter content already confirmed on-chain, even if it later violates this policy.
Intellectual Property
The EchoCert interface, design, and underlying code belong to EchoForge. Certificate content you submit remains yours; minting it means you accept that it will be permanently and publicly recorded on Cardano.
Limitation of Liability
EchoCert is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from blockchain activity, including loss of ADA, network fees, oracle price movement, or outages of third-party infrastructure we rely on — Blockfrost, Supabase, Charli3, or CoinGecko.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continuing to use EchoCert after a change means you accept the update.
